Dizzy Gillespie was one of the greatest trumpeters of the XX century. He masterfully played the trumpet and improvised superbly. After living for 75 years he managed an incredible amount: together with the saxophonist Charlie Parker in the 40-s made a revolution in jazz, creating a new style, bebop, which became the second half of the century, the foundation of jazz language, wrote hundreds of plays and epic album, entered the golden fund of jazz; created several small trains and big bands, each of which would be enough to uvekovechevaniya memory. For decades, Gillespie to represent a collective image of 'dizzy' jazz musician, was untouchable as a jazz virtuoso and was able to influence many subsequent generations of musicians (not just trumpet players). Gillespie managed to win recognition of the broad masses of a showman, he was one of the masters of scat that is vocal-syllabic singing, legislator of the new stage of fashion (dresses and extravagant hats replaced the frock coat typical of the swing era), a witty entertainer and often shocked by the public his antics.
