Description: Violator (in the lane. From English. Intruder) - seventh studio album by British band Depeche Mode. It was recorded at several studios in May and December 1989 and was first released in the UK via Mute Records March 19, 1990. An important role in creating and promoting records played producer Flood, Francois Kevorkian and sound Korbeyn Anton, who designed the cover, did advertising photography and took a video feed to the songs from the album and concert performances. Violator has become the most famous and commercially successful work of the team and in 1996 received a certificate three times platinum disc of the American Association for the record companies. In support of the album, Depeche Mode released four singles (chief among them - ?Personal Jesus? and ?Enjoy the Silence?) and had a successful world tour that included concerts in North America, Australia, Japan and Europe.
