Dzhakomo Puchchini: Klassicheskaya Kollektsiya (2008)
Operny composer in every sense of the word, Puccini is considered the true successor of the traditions of Verdi's Italian musical theater. However, his artistic world is different from the world of Verdi, being formed in a different historical period. This period of fin de siecle (end of the century - France.) Differing in Italy superficial calm and search for external decorations, was marked by the crisis, which is further exacerbated by persistently developing science (particularly Marxism and psychoanalysis). Puccini was the mouthpiece of various ideologies and sentiments that he and all his rare dramatic flair was able to use and merge with the skill and constant updating of expressive means (also achieved in part by composers of other countries that have advanced musical language - primarily Massenet, Debussy and others ), to the extent poured into the stream-European art, he might have accused of evading "national art" for the sake of fresh, albeit a well-designed "international genre."
