With Emerson, Lake & Palmer founded in 1969 in the UK. All musicians, which belonged to the trio, has had considerable experience, both in studio and at concerts: Emerson spoke with a group of Nice, and was perhaps the first who stressed keyboards in rock music; Lake played in King Crimson; Palmer was a member composed of groups such as Atomic Rooster and Crazy World Of Arthur Brown, Chris Group Farlou. The debut of Emerson, Lake & Palmer was held in the summer of 1970 at a traditional festival on the Isle of Wight, in the same year appeared the first plate. From the outset, the trio found the attraction to the classical sonata form, although the arrangements of tracks "under jazz" gave every reason to believe Emerson, Lake & Palmer group of avant-garde rock. (Some music commentators called Emerson, Lake & Palmer one of the founders of the art-rock, and this seems to also correct: the music group is equally tapped elements of both art rock and jazz-rock, as in the first papers - psychedelia.) Each new LP Emerson, Lake & Palmer has consistently attracted the attention of listeners and musicologists. After 1974, the trio for a long time disappeared from sight and reappeared only in 1977 with the album "Works, Volume 1" - for this period of creativity Emerson, Lake & Palmer characterized as high performance art, as in the early 70's, so same impressive arrangements and the development of melodic lines, but the overall trends suggest that the group is firmly "stuck" in the symbolism of the times "youth rebellion" of the late 60's.
