The new album studiny Lisa Dzherrard - half of the cult duo Dead Can Dance. In "The Silver Tree" Lisa works in the territory somewhere between the academic avant-garde and ancient prayer. The piece as a whole represents something of a sacred cantatas - 13 tracks smoothly pass one another, like a river flows into the river. Flowing string chords and distant echoes of the chorus frame divine voice that now sounds much less intensely, passionately and dramatically than once in the 80's.
