Reverend & The Makers: A French Kiss in the Chaos (2009)
Description: After the release of their debut album, Reverend and the Makers "The State оf Things" in 2007, its frontman Jon McClure has needs no introduction, while among the British indie scene, he is known for a long time. Guys from Arctic Monkeys learned a lot from this musician with an unusual approach to work, to the same well versed in politics. It was the last McClure decided to turn on his new creation "A French Kiss in the Chaos". All works Reverend and the Makers, have one thing - a wonderful harmony of variable, but always bright and saturated McClure vocal accompaniment. With one hand, because of this harmony, the songs on "A French Kiss in the Chaos" reminiscent all at once the best of indie material, released in recent years, but on the other, it speaks of an even higher level of performance of all participants, if we compare two of their album together. Each of the ten songs of the new album tells of one or another aspect of social life, encouraging students to think about things before, perhaps, familiar or even unknown to them. Thus, even if we do not hear anything more from Reverend and the Makers, this album will be long remembered for all who respect the quality of indie rock. As for the John McClure, his search for better use of their talents certainly not yet finished, and the music, no doubt, will always be interested in it. Therefore, "A French Kiss in the Chaos", perhaps, is the end of one chapter, but the whole story on it just does not end there.
